New York, Ballantine, 1953, Limited Edition, one of 200 signed copies.

One of the most celebrated editions ever issued in any genre, this classic signed limited first edition was limited to 200 numbered copies (this is copy#127), SIGNED BY BRADBURY and bound in Johns-Manville Quinterra, a material manufactured from asbestos.

This book is from the library of Leonard Zweig was was producer in 1957 of a Mike Wallace TV interview show in NYC called "Nightbeat".. on which he booked Bradbury in what was to become a very well-known interview. There are no ownership marks. The book has some spotting and minor soiling to covers; front cover and rear cover each have a faint circular stain; wear to corners with show-through at top; there is a tiny chip to top upper hinge, and faint cracking at foot of upper spine; faint browning to text edges..

This stunning artists' book was created by Harry Reese in 1989 / 1990. The writings of Hans Arp have inspired this portfolio of poems, prints, drawings, and collages. Text lines from the poems, letters, interviews, prose writings, and experiences of Arp have been lifted from their original contexts, worked over, translated at times, and then recombined with various new images and objects to make new poems.

"The lines are Arp's, but the poems are mine", Reese declares. This stunning edition was adapted from an earlier (1980), small Turkey Press book of the same title, and is far more ambitious and elaborate.

Each unique copy of this edition of 43 numbered and signed copies is hand-created and unique. The text is loose as issued in the artist's folding box, the cover of which is a superb original acrylic painting by Reese. Among the finest examples of work in this form by Reese, Arplines has the virtue of combining the fruits of long contemplation of Arp's life and work with the accessibility of an entertaining Dada flavor that truly shows the artist's creative joy as well as his knowledge.

An original painting by Joan Miro graces Rita Hayworth's own copy of Joan Miro by Jacques Prevert and G. Ribemont-Dessaignes.

The work was the property of Rita Hayworth, is personally inscribed to her, and bears a portrait of her (and of Joan Miro), on the occasion of their meeting. The book is signed by both authors, each of whom has drawn flowers as a means of expressing devotion sentiment towards Rita Hayworth.

Published by Maeght Editeur in Paris, 1956, the text includes some 160 color and black and white illustrations, including 8 original lithographs by Joan Miro printed by Mourlot. 7 of the lithographs are in color, and among them are included several double-page gatefolds (see example below).
